Wonder if your opening line is because of this recent quote from Greenwald on Wired: "This has long ago left the realm of mere journalistic failure and stands as one of the most egregious examples of active truth-hiding by a "journalist" I've ever seen."
Not at all related to phone security, but your warning really stuck out to me :p
Glenn Greenwald is being his usual jerky hyperventilating self because a news organization won't WikiLeak the guy who put WikiLeaks on the map. Not really a story there.
On the subject of the thread, is it as easy to crack CDMA phones? I would imagine this is vulnerability is sorta inherant in any over-the-air communications system (WiFi, etc).
Unless you exchange cryptographic keys off-band and offline (manually per USB stick or something), you'll always be open to some kind of attack which exploits the exchange of keys the same way as the data itself.Quote:
