I've always been bugged by the lack of a :weird: smiley here. So I went, found the GIF and re-configured the place so that typing : weird : (no spaces) will yield :weird:
But just to double check, was anyone else here really using that text string to generate the bulb (:bulb:)?
:weird:
I still think : bulb : should bring up a light bulb like it used to :sour:
You're all right-wing whores and fuck you
It brought up :bulb: even at the Other Place.Quote:

I just copied what we had from that other place, with some alternates and stuff. I guess the :weird: one slipped by?
I like :noob: good subtle visual for stupid.
Yeah, I noticed it...well a year ago but I only got around to fixing it now.Quote:

It never used to. It used to bring up a lightbulb, then it started to bring up that mongface. I'm going back a bit now.Quote:

While we're at it, I still don't see the purpose of :lynchmob: though. :sour:
Somebody asked for it? I just install the things!
It was probably one of Ziggy's ideas, Tim.
Got a better description than mongface? :DQuote:

As for the switch, I believe it changed when we switched from UBB to vB, which was May 2000 I believe. It was either then or the switch from vB1 to vB2. Still sour from then!

d. This thing however does have purpose, which would explain the lack of importance. What is missing here is imagination. But Timbuk, you're a bright young lad, I'm confident you will find purpose.
e. I should have use the word "grasshopper" before this point, but I forgot.
Can I put in a request this request gets WL for stupidity?Quote:

Do you really care if Being thinks you're racist, anyway?
Sorry, I really don't understand. I thought that was just some internet slang. Does it mean something else?
Nothing racist that I know of.
'mong' stems from 'Mongoloid' which hints that those of the Down persuasion share physical (mostly facial) traits with those of the Genghis Khan bent. Given that we're probably all related to Genghis in here, maybe we can let it slip.
I always associated the :bulb: face with 'huh?", not so much with some sort of mongolodian connection.
See. Serious business.
