Made my day that there is one less pedophile on the street and that since this was in Texas the hero who killed the monster isn't going to suffer a whole bunch of legal hassle.

Vigilante justice is not good. This is arguably a crime of passion and it's sad.

That Lewk reports this sad and troubling story with a 'Made my day ~ smiley face' is telling ...

There's a pretty good argument to be made here for self-defense (depends on just how many times he punched him after he was out).

I doubt the outcome would be very different in many other jurisdictions, as Loki says he has a pretty good self-defence case.

As police struggle to locate the family ranch, the father swears and tells the dispatcher: "Come on! This guy is going to die on me! I don't know what to do!"

Emergency crews who responded to the father's 911 call found Flores' trousers and underwear pulled down on his lifeless body.

A medical examination of the girl at hospital backed up the father's story that she had been sexually assaulted, said prosecutors.

The father was not arrested, but was investigated for homicide.
