Next you're going to call golf a sport. :o
Golf is a sport. And in what is already an amazing summer of sport that was one of the greatest comebacks today ever.
A) The event in question is one that doesn't rank particularly highly on the golfers' agenda. They know where the money is.
B) Golf is a "sport" played by middle-aged white dudes (yes, with a few exceptions). It definitely requires many athletic abilities. *goes to bowl* :o
Seeing the emotions as the team came back from so far behind to win it, I don't think they didn't care.
Why does race matter?
I should have added "rich" to the list.
Because professional world class footballers are impoverished?
Most were impoverished before they signed their first big contract. How many non-rich people ever pick up a golf club? :noob:
I wish I knew what this were about, but I'm too lazy. I gather someone from our land lost at the game which has spawned a million acres of needlessly-planted grass in random areas around the world?
I didn't know a Ryder cup existed before today. Likely will forget about it by the end of the week. Golfs only slightly more boring than baseball.
Saw a headline earlier in the day yesterday with USA 8 : Europe 4, so I assumed the US had it sown up. Incredible comeback it seems then.
Ryder cup is indeed a history of fierce rivalry and close-fought battles.
Not much of a golfer, but in recent years I've played a little and taken more interest in the professional game. I suppose it's the encroaching middle-age. :o
I played it once, was quite fun. Would do it more, but it requires quite a lot of time to get your basic skills. I would definitely call it a sport, though. I think it's also on the next olympics?
Yep it's in the next Olympics, with Kite Surfing.
