Why is association with the Baath party still grounds for discrimination in Iraq? It doesn't seem like punishing an entire political group for the misconduct of past leaders is very practical...or wise. Or maybe we could use that philosophy here...no Republicans should be allowed to run for office because of their prior association with Dick Cheney.
