StarDrive 2 apparently released a few days ago, and I'm hoping someone can give me a buy/no-buy recommendation on it. I've been burned on an awful lot of 4X games over the past few years. The first one was alright, but I'm glad I waited for a sale to make a purchase.

I've got the original StarDrive, I also thought it was alright but nothing incredibly special. Steam are doing a 33% off sale for owners of the first game. so curious if anyone thinks this new one has anything to really sell it?

It's 50% off now. It got pretty harsh reviews when it was first released. Bumping to see if anyone knows if it's any better than it was then.
