I've been eagerly anticipating this movie for months now, and I finally saw it last night.
It was VERY good :up: you know that feeling you get after seeing a movie with your mates, when you're standing outside and everyone's in a great mood because the movie was so AWESOME and you're all still seeing the scenes and hearing the lines in your head? :D yeah, it was like that- been a while since the last time =)
Yep I liked it too.
Nicolas Cage was very funny when he dressed up in his costume. Any old Batman fans will know why
There was bucketloads of coolness in this movie. First time ive left a movie having genuinely enjoyed it in ages.
It's gotten a few bad reviews here, but I have trouble believing the bad reviews. The Red Band trailer makes it look so weirdly awesome.
I saw it, fully expecting it to be horrible. I wasn't impressed the first half hour or so, and I thought it was dragging, right until he got. After that it just got continuously more and more ridiculous, though Nick Cage played his role well.Spoiler:
Starting to hate this trend of turning graphic novels into movies, especially good movies. Makes more work for me :(

I didn't know Ebert said anything about it...or that. :confused: I just read that it was "controversial". It certainly doesn't seem hard to imagine why based on the red band trailer.

Didn't realise that this was co-written by Jonathan Woss's long-time wife; Jane Goldman. Now that his career is on the back-burner with the BBC unlikely to renew his contract, this seems rather timely. Not that they lack for money however.
I read that she was 11 for much of the filming as she turned 13 just two months ago. Why would the BBC not renew the contract of a guy I've never heard of over this?
Jonathan Ross - his BBC contract (non) renewal is totally unrelated to this.

Ross is a famous BBC TV presenter/chat-show host/comedian of sorts & BBC Radio host.
I hadn't realised that his wife, Jane Goldman, was one of the two co-writers of Kick Ass.

Wossy is overpaid anyway. Who gives a crap! In fact, why don't they pay me HALF of what he gets!
He does/did get paid fairly vast sums. Considering it is the BBC who are paying him ..
His current contract is worth £2m-£3m a year.
I'm indifferent to Wossy really. His friday night chat show had good guests and he was an ok interviewer.
Film 200x which he did for years and years was ok. Again he's an ok presenter.
All a bit meh really.
I thought he deserved a Knighthood for asking David Cameron on his Friday Night chat show if he had ever had a wank while thinking of Margaret Thatcher. :haha:
But then Sachsgate put me off him considerably. He did apologise profusely for it (moreso than fucking Brand) but it was still a shitty thing to do.
People who have met him have said he is personable and pleasant enough.
Anyway. Blah blah.
Oh. And his 3 children (by Jane Goldman) are named Betty Kitten, Harvey Kirby and Honey Kinney. :headbang:
