Unsettling but eerily familiar videos of police attacking protesters with teargas and rubber bullets. In this video, someone is hit by a police truck??
Anyway, I have no historical context, and can't even begin to speculate about where they go from here.
There are reports/photos of someone being either critically injured or dead. Not sure if it's the same person. Protests slated to restart tomorrow. We'll see where they go from there.
Does seem reminiscent of the last days of Ceaucescu.
Will he realise the gig is up and leave voluntarily?

Typically dictators don't recover from this kind of loss of control. However, it's hard to tell if the system will give too.
There is no system. No one but him have any power. There's no regime outside of him. He tried the heavy repression path; it backfired. Now he seems to be waiting the protests out.
