I realize this has been corrected but I wish to remind people: the Supreme Court Justices are powerful people with great longevity in DC and spend a lot of time there. They are courted guests in the local social scene. You WILL see them at not just events but parties, private dinners, etc. along with other figures in government.
/Yawn Sotomayor is a ditz and the latest oral arguments prove that so who the ditz wants to hang out with is irrelevant. She was always going to be a rabid leftist partisan.

A simple mistake? Messing up the number of children hospitalized by a factor of over 30x? I could understand a "100k vs. 10k" slip of the tongue but that wasn't the case here. She legit thought this.
