Trump's odds of winning the election just went through the roof. Republican turnout will be insane.
The SS fucked up big time. Like, this is actual incompitance. The shooter was on a rooftop overlooking the podium, visible to rally attendees, per a video on the BBC.
They're supposed to secure all possible vantage points like this and have the entire area locked down with their own snipers and generally batten down the hatches for miles around, but I guess they just... missed this one.

I don't think a presidential candidate gets the same kind of protection in terms of manpower as a sitting president.
FBI has confirmed that the suspect wasn't Cain so no media scrutiny for this forum for now at least

He wasn't even the official nominee yet. His detail is presumably the standard for former presidents, which isn't high. I figured he recruited private security though and there's still the local law enforcement for public security. Still kinda surprising there wasn't better coverage over the immediate area.Quote:
