This might seem new to you, but it's a rehash of history to me. An important difference now is how the internet and social media have changed perceptions, but the playbook is still Nixonian: control the message by undermining the press (media), convince voters that everything is conspiracy/hoax/witch hunt, exploit their fears and mistrusts, stack the courts with political loyalists....so POTUS can act like a benevolent dictator, and no one notices the constitutional republic is being shredded.
The other difference is that Republicans are now on board with things that used to be antithetical to their "conservative" principles, like executive/presidential supremacy. The GOP isn't so grand these days, but they'll apparently do anything to hang onto their political power, even if it means supporting Trump. :down:

Calling out (R) for their hypocrisy would be a good start. Turning the Senate to a (D) majority and ridding Mitch McConnell of his "leadership" would be even better. :bored:
