I guess the psychology behind pointing out spelling errors has a sort of well-intentioned feeling behind it in most cases. But mainly I did it because I saw a pun waiting to be used, so I guess I was being witty.
Buuuuut, I had to explain the witticism, so...
44F outside right now. Christmas season is here :D
So this is interesting. It turns out the butter we usually buy IS cultured butter, albeit not particularly tangy (I'd been wondering about the slightly tangy taste). It's a lot more popular in Europe than it is in the US, perhaps because Americans are giant babies.
But but but...Quote:
Fox, you take for granted the ubiquity of Christmas. But if there has been a war, Christmas is the aggressor nation. Right now, every public space in the country looks like it got hit with a 500-lb. tinsel bomb. The White House looks like a Yuletide episode of Hoarders. Many of these displays are subsidized by -- ah, what's that thing you don't want to spend on anything -- taxpayer money!
You want a fight about something taking the Christ out of Christmas?
Whatever you think is the reason for the season, it does not involve Mariah Carey in a half a Santa suit presenting her ass to Justin Bieber like a horny bonobo.
At least that one makes a tiny bit more sense than Bieber's steampunk christmas music video.
Still can't decide if I should thank him for doing his part to get people past steampunk, or wish death onto him as is usual. Not many people have the ability to single handedly kill a subculture like Bieber can.
Just wish death onto him. Or puberty; that will likely kill his career too. He is one of the worst singers ever; I just don't get the fandom.
Won $25 gift card at company Christmas party..woohoo :)
one of the best movies EVAR
You should buy a hamster and put it in there. :p
So sis has arrived safely in Burma :o I have nfi why she's so keen on Burma, or why she chose Burma for her master's thesis at SOAS (more good news: she got high marks and a distinction  and they thought I was the brains of the family) but she's psyched and I've asked her to buy lots of stuff so I too am quite chuffed.
Supporting slave labor. :o
Human slaves in an insect nation!
I read that they make 9-year-old girls eat dog poo in order to break them for day-long rapings! I wonder what they do to 9-year-olds working in sweat shops.
Make them listen to Finnish music.
Do they have to see the performers, too? :( Those poor, wretched untermensch

Goodies: candied ginger; candied toasted cinnamony salted almonds; fig marmalade; dulce de leche; apple butter (with a touch of lemon, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg); my favourite tea-blend.
