Not to be too much of a Debbie-Downer, but dogs with a purebred lineage that split their legs out like that, while lying down, probably have a lot of hip dysplasias, spinal problems, along with ENT and GI problems, too. I hope you have a lot of discretionary income to take Obi to the vet every couple of months, to keep him alive until he's at least 10 years old. :(
Obi's a pure bred English Bulldog. He's large for the breed and yeah he's going to have problems like that. He's 2 years old now and the only real problem we've had so far is in humid weather his skin folds can get infected so you have to clean them once a day, which isn't much trouble. He's a very sweet dog and, from what I've read about English Bulldogs beind dumb as a rock, he's unusually smart for the breed.

Meant to add....be careful with Obi in the winter, walking on ice, even to go pee or poo in the yard. We lost a Basset Hound that way, fell on one icy step and broke a lumbar vertabra. My ex wanted to put her into one of those hind limb sling-wagon-wheeled devices to carry her paralyzed hind legs, so she could still be "mobile". He didn't seem to understand that her bladder and anal sphincter muscles were affected, and she'd either have to wear a doggie diaper for the rest of her life, or someone would have to shag around behind her, cleaning up her *cough* messes.
No, its a duck. I've seen geese on houses before, but not in the fog.

I'm still only 3 minutes into it, and it's bugging the crap outta me that I can't hear the music fluidly....woodwinds and strings and then the piano. What's wrong with my OS that it keeps shorting out?
I got a bit lost in the fog, just as the hedgehog did.....but it reminded me of the parable of the alligator promising safe passage across the river, for the fox and the hare.....both in a hurry, but neither one won. Also reminded me of Peter and the Wolf, at least instrumentally.
Let's see if I can give a good link for that, but don't hold your breath. :(

My son insists he's the wolf, every time he hears this music and narrative. That's fascinating to me, since almost all my toddler naps were predicated on this music, and I either "felt" like the bird or the cat or the duck. But my little boy ended up feeling trapped like the wolf, or as Peter. Hence, Peter and the Wolf. ;)

Landed on the outskirts of Canterbury. Was aiming for a school playing field.
As we neared the field, the wind drifted a little more to the right than the pilot was anticipating, so he shouted to the landing crew to run to the school tennis courts where it looked like we'd land. We just missed the school building, came down with a thump, bounced and dragged, hit the tennis net, snapped that, and came to rest a few feet further, and just a few feet short of a large fence and an annexe to the school building.
As the basket is far too heavy to carry, it had to be 'floated' out into the field where it could be loaded onto a trailer. Some of us jumped out to reduce ballast, and pulled/pushed the balloon & basket.

EDIT: Got it.
Couldn't record the final touch down unfortunately as we had to sit in a brace position for landing.
Got the pilot shouting to the ground crew, and them running in to the tennis courts to grab us and slow our drift toward the school annexe, and me laughing.
The blasting sound is the pilot firing the four huge propane burners.
For some reason the idea of "piloting" something like that seems pretty terrifying. :eek:
I was tinkering around in my garage one day and I looked at the crappy old clock on the wall and got an idea.
I ripped the clock mechanism out of the boring clock then I took the old front brake disc from my bike and and did some drilling, turning and I even cast some little bronze skulls for the 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock and whacked a few luxeon blue LED's behind to the disc and some aluminium tread-plate behind all of it.
The less boring clock was born...

I had a few LED's left over and I've had this collectable Jack Daniels bottle for 20 years and was getting bored with it sitting on the shelf in the garage so I cleaned it up, stuck some LED's in the top and bottom and used some old CD's to get a reflective effect and invented.
