It's absolutely correct and the actions of the disgraced Police officers involved here are utterly contemptible.
Firstly the original raid on Green's office was unforgiveable, ordered by a pawn of the government of the day against political opponents it was unprecedented and the action of a banana republic.
Secondly the officer involved had to leave the force in disgrace and has continued to pursue a personal grudge against Green.
Thirdly the "evidence" such as we have is meaningless and weak, "thumbnails" of porn images found in a browser.
Fourthly no crime has been committed or alleged.
Fifthly the officers involved were ordered to destroy all records as part of routine data protection laws etc and this was not done.
These meaningless smears about something that is not a crime a decade after the fact without any semblance of real evidence should not be treated seriously and the ex-officers who are breaking the law here by breaking data protection laws and spreading unfounded smears are the real story. It is a disgrace.
As much as I don't like him I would not support the Police raiding Jeremy Corbyn's office or one of his ministers then spreading smears about something that is not a crime.
