Wow, I thought they wouldn't listen to people asking for it to be closed. Covering their ass as usual though...
Instead of saying "we've removed Community Chat because we made asinine rules that forced any new post there to be either against the rules or in the wrong forum", they said:

I actually find the whole thing a little hilarious.
I said years ago the CC was overly hostile, and that there wasn't a point to a general CC and subforum CCs. I think everyone should have been dumped into the general CC (thus forcing more varied threads to push out all of Timmeh's locked threads). Instead now they are creating smaller CCs that won't survive past their respectful games (TDU, Silverfall, NWN2 are good examples of dust towns). However I don't think any of this would have come to pass if the CC was a little stricter before Phoexe showed up.

Who is wrong? I'd say that if Atari wants customers, Timmy should go. If they want profit, they should find a way to make us come back. After all it is not that we are just spammers, but we have valuable know-how and experiences with their games, so we would be their best tech support with a $0 budget.
I believe it can't be forgotten, in the sense that this is where we met. So it is like having a nice park where we met turned into a waste dump. Even if it is a waste dump, it will mean for us the emotional memory of a nice past.

And it will happen sooner or later. Timmy is a systemic failure in customer relations by design. It is just a matter of time before Timmy triggers himself.
