And since you did mention the 20th century, have you heard of the fascists and Nazis (before they came to power)? How about the Spanish Civil War? :bored: Seriously, do your own homework before making absurd claims.

I'm more than willing to concede that the US hasn't had more assassinations or attempts than other countries. Including WWII, fascists and Nazis, etc. If it's true.
Thing is, I can't find a source to confirm that. I've asked for one. If it's such common knowledge, and I'm such an idiot, then it shouldn't be a big strain for you to provide it. Should it?
She said the entire 20th century, and I don't quite get why Weimar Germany doesn't qualify. Not that it matters, as you had organized groups dedicated to killing your politicians during the Cold War, while American assassinations are generally the work of crazy individuals.
Yes, I asked about the 20th century. Recognized leaders in Germany bring up Heydrich and Hitler. There are surely others who were assassinated, but is the list as long as the names I posted for the US?
No, he shared a picture of himself with a girlfriend's rifle *he was visiting Israel* held in front of his groin, and said he'd wanted to take the photo nude.
I don't know if you shared it with us, back on Atari, in a rule 12 violation and hence have a hazier memory, or are simply hoping to expunge any online mention of some of your activities when you were a college student, but don't treat us like we're stupid, Dread. You did post it. Now hell, maybe it and a bunch of the stuff you've shared over the years has been a lie, like Tear's original history, but it did still get shared.Quote:
I'm actually amazed at how much stuff people have imagined about me over the years. I've shared relatively few hard details about my life beyond assorted experiences, but over the years I've noticed people developing these oddly specific ideas about my age, profession, looks, etc., as if I had ever posted something like a picture like that at all.
My memory sucks, but I do remember Dread's picture from Israel, involving his girlfriend with her standard issue rifle and its strapping. I recall more boobage than crotch shots. Can't recall what he said about it, exactly, but it seemed sexual at the time.
I recall the pic and convo too.
I doubt it, and definitely not true if you correct for population size. I mean, you got a list of 11 successful assassinations, but my country has ~1/20 of your population and we had 2 assassinations in the past decade already. And I'm too lazy to look it up, but groups like the Red Brigades, the RAF, ETA, IRA, and god knows how many other fringe left or right wing terrorist groups in Europe.. And at the start of the 20th century there were a bunch of anarchist plots too, assassinating some royalties IIRC.
How's that work? Since the US is larger than most european countries, we should adjust for size? 11 US assassinations or attempts are equal to......?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Brigades
"According to Clarence A. Martin, the BR were credited with 14,000 acts of violence in the first ten years of the group's existence.[18] According to statistics by the Ministry of Interior. A total of 75 people are thought to have been murdered by the BR."
That's just one group that did most of its killing in one decade. :bored:

Then we have one manifestation of North Irish militants:
Two very detailed studies of deaths in the Troubles, the CAIN project at the University of Ulster, and Lost Lives,[97] differ slightly on the numbers killed by the Provisional IRA, but a rough synthesis gives a figure of 1,800 deaths.
But yes, those numbers are close to 11.
And if you want to go for importance, there was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the assassination of 6 kings (http://www.angelfire.com/in3/theodor...s/victims.html), and the murder of the Italian, Swedish, and Serbian Prime Ministers.
Well I suppose if you count the terrorist attacks of the IRA you should also count, say, Timothy McVeighs bombing. And deaths by the Black Panthers, the KKK, etc., should also be counted then (which are over 11 already).
We could just count the political killings by the IRA, which are surely greater than 11, especially if you include its earlier manifestations (i.e. battle for Irish home rule). I think GGT doesn't realize that much of Europe had full blown civil wars and large scale terrorist groups for parts of the 20th century.
Yeah, but she was referring to assassinations specifically. But even then I think at least Greece and Italy would have more than the US.
Really? It's how I learned you are a ginger...something I found at odds with being a Jew. If I recall correctly you where there in some sort of volunteer fireman capacity.
I wonder if the Dread torch has been passed to someone else for continuity's sake? It would explain why you don't remember our conversations long ago about then and than. It would also explain your dramatic shift to the right.
No, you posted a picture of yourself *presumably* with her rifle *again, presumably* I don't recall a picture of her with the rifle, though you may have shared a picture of the two of you together.
Just as a quick reference you made, back whenDoesn't tell much beyond there being a picture of you with a gun, but it is limited corroboration.Quote:
I might upload some more pictures soon. I took about 300, so I try to be picky so as to not be boring. Hence the picture of me with the gun, the camel in the West Bank, the girls, etc.
From thread http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums...d.php?t=489992
Yeah, i remember pics of the Dreadmiester to, in a fire fighters coat, hat and boots...a few other normal pics too...otherwise I wouldn't have been stalking him in the forums...
The fact that you all have different memories of the same picture that I don't own says something.
Up your attitude control. They were first debating one picture...that doesn't exist.
I hope the flames start flying soon so we can set a new record for highest anger to meaningfulness of dispute ratio.
Right.Quote:

And I'm sure there are people who wonder why anyone would want to look at pornography, or be able to express themselves openly in public or make political statements.
You seem keen to place arbitrary limits on freedoms based on what you think people need to do. I am not.
Just for fun-sies, why not take a gander at the statistics on how often these horrible 'assault weapons' are used in crimes, and what legally constituted an 'assault weapon.'
