I'm probably going to be there for a week in late November/early December; if you're there then, there's a chance you might actually get to meet the wiggin. It's a (dubious) honor I don't think anyone here has yet to achieve. ;)

The Seattle police department has been having fun with Washington's new pot laws since smoking dope was legalized last year, but the department's latest move, dubbed "Operation Orange Fingers," may be its best yet.
The department announced this week that come Saturday, officers would flood the annual HempFest, which celebrates marijuana culture, and issue bags of Doritos to civilians who may be suffering from the munchies.
"Oh, there must have been a miscommunication somewhere. We're not sending you in October and December, we're sending you in October until December."
I think I'll have to talk about this in the other thread from now on.
Wiggin, you're buying me a drink when if we overlap.
How will you black friday shop?!
Today is my last day working in the downtown library :D:up:
Two hours from the last show of my band! Gonna be a good party :D
My hard drive didn't lose all of its data! :D *sigh of relief*
Now, to figure out what is wrong that causes the BSOD during boot up and why I can't even boot up from my PE or Win 7 repair disc.
Edit: Had to rebuild the boot record, but I'm back on the Win7 machine. Still no idea what caused it though. Oh well, at least it works.
How to explain Lewk with a single study:
http://www.scientificamerican.com/ar...moral-behavior
So in other words scientists release a study indicating just thinking about science makes people more moral?
In other news Christians release statement saying that Christian's are right.
And still more news Muslims release statement that Muslims live more holy lives.
That about sum it up? ;)
The difference being that only one of the three will provide you with a way to replicate the results.
It's equally likely to be true. Science isn't religion. It doesn't claim to have obtained the final truth.
Over time it narrows the gap toward the final truth ...
If we take the final truth to be absolute knowledge of the workings of the natural universe in its entirety.
Sure, but at any given moment, it's quite likely that what we know is wrong in some (frequently important) way. But it's better to admit that and constantly try to get better than to pretend to know the final truth and discourage people from trying to find otherwise.

He is modernizing the godwin. If you can't construct a criticism, tie it to 9/11.
San Francisco was cool, but Alcatraz was awesome.
Yosemite on the other hand, breathtaking. Truly epic!
Moldy food, broken and mislabeled elevators, and cold hot tubs couldn't stop my from enjoying my carnival cruise. Insane how different being a tax haven can make a country, comparing the Cayman islands and their 500 banks to places like belize and hondorous
My kids' grandpa is going to be part of a WWII Veteran honorarium. Some 80 men, all in their 80's, are flying from around the country to Washington DC, each with a dedicated 'escort'. They're going to get a VIP tour of the War memorials and monuments, Arlington cemetery (and possibly the Capitol building and White House). :)
He has Alzheimer's disease, and many of the men are frail and debilitated in some way.....so everyone is hoping it goes well.
Hopefully they won't try to stage a coup. :p
Tech insurrection against my benevolent rule, but I have gone to my happy place

I was given a corporate credit card with no limit. Who wants a pony?
Well, i could use some money, see the messing with groove thread, so bring it on!
I want a pony!
Made tomato soup from scratch today, very pleased with the result. Didn't use a recipe, just my own ideas about how a tomato soup should be and taste.
