Forbidden rice, taboo meat
Hang on...what rice is "forbidden?
I'm happy that autumn is on its way, plants and trees are getting crispy, and the fireplace is stoked.
What, taboo is a word for delicious now? :p
I am just guessing by the look of the meat.
Kangaroo :o
Come on GGT just Google "forbidden rice" :p
I wonder where to get good Kangaroo around here. Much easier to get good horse meat.

Hmmh. Will be interesting to see how they tie all those strands together. I'm getting vibes of the Civil War storyline, then there's the Hulkbuster armor and finally Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch which were supposed to be in Hydra's hands.
I've been reddited!
Hurray for 15 minutes of internets fame!

I have the weekend off and the wife is back from her week-long trip to sthlm (where she got to hang out with my dear mum who probably likes her more than she likes her own son :o) with a bag full of mommy-cooked goodies, little lindt chocolates, Bengali sweets, a ton of powdered milk (my greatest and most shameful addiction :( so my mum snuck it into her luggage :o) and, best of all, a bunch of ripe quinces :) :) I shall make membrillo, quince gin, quince liqueur and quince tea. I've also stocked up on good gin, good tonic, good wine, good punsch and lotsa good good lovin'. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend before the horrible week that is to come :o
Also, I finally caved and bought a pair of Icebug shoes. I've never before paid so much for a pair of shoes, but after getting a concussion last wintermy sense of judgement was impairedI've been living in more fear than usual of slipping on the ice that covers most of the path between my home and the hospital. They are just incredibly grippy, which is nice, and they also come with the added bonus of alerting everyone within 100m (200m indoors) of my presence. No doubt this is a deliberately designed safety feature because jesus christ these things are LOUD :o
They have one store in Britain, and instead of being in London (or Scotland I suppose), it's a mile from Eton College. :o
Sucks to be you

Apparently, my power cord is one of those which "pose a potential safety hazard to customers", according to information from HP. I even did the validation thingy on their website, and it confirmed that my power cord needs to be replaced.
At first I didn't want to order the replacement - I have enough of various power cords laying around as it is. But, upon further inspection of the FAQ section regarding the power cord replacement program, I noticed "Refer to the instructions included with the new power cord for the actions to take to assure destruction of the recalled power cord so it cannot be used again."
They are going to send me a manual for destruction of a power cord! How awesome is that?
I hope they include a set of corny phrases to use when destroying the power cord. "You could have burned me - now I will send you to BURN IN HELL" and stuff like that.
We're thinking of 'going green' on our next film project, with me as head of it. To be honest most of the recommendations we already use anyway to cut costs (think carpooling, using tap water, do more digital and less on paper, don't overkill on the lights, and try to use available power instead of just riding in a generator). And it also opens up new sponsors and possibly even some subsidies.
The Death March at work is finally over, and I go on vacation in 3 days.
And today we got exposure in a bunch of national media :D hopefully enough to push the project over the crowdfunding threshold! 71% now, IIRC at 90% it will go ahead. :)
Off work the rest of the year. Still getting paid. I'm going to slack so hard.
Our part of the war against drugs has been completed; our coal cellar no longer is a storage for other people's drugs.
It's raining.
