People arriving with ferries from the UK are having their lunches confiscated on arrival in the Netherlands. When one of them protested he was told, 'welcome to Brexit sir, you may send your complaints to Nigel Farrage. Maybe he'll pay for your lunch as well'.

The most read papers in the UK are the Mail and the Sun. Both papers continually ran these stupid claims about the EU. Ergo stupid people voted out of the EU so we could keep our bananas bendy.

It's a good question, but given that the DM is the best selling newspaper in the UK, the answer is probably because a lot, if not all of their readers, believe what they read in it.
Being the best selling newspaper in the UK is like being the most popular salad ingredient at Pizza Hut.
