I'm flixy, and I am in zombieville as well.
DarkWraith, and look, we can't all be in zombieville. I was here first, damnit.
Was sorta turned off by the hard sell tactics they're using though. I don't know how active I'll be.
You click the buttons, and your numbers get bigger. This is by far the most addictive kind of gaming experience, come on dude
Bigger numbers you say? I'm sold.
And they keep getting bigger!
That little white bar in Diablo 2 was such a cruel, cruel mistress
I'll probably join, but not for at least a week. Master's thesis won't write itself, and I probably don't need another way to procrastinate at this point.
Wraith, is that your leader's name in the Zombie realm? It won't let me invite you, which suggests you're not there.
I think I must be incompetent. How do I shot web... er... switch servers?
Go here: http://mightandmagicheroeskingdoms.u.../en/gameWorlds Click "available world" near the top of the new screen, then find "Switzerland" at the bottom, and then choose the Zombie world. You're allowed to have accounts in both worlds (if you really care, you can log in to your wrong account, go to "my profile", and "unregister from world").
Ah, it turns out it won't let you switch countries if you've already joined a world in one country. I'm registered there as DarkWraith now.
I did. I just had a world in the US and Switzerland. :p
Well the drop-box didn't show up for me until I unregistered for the US world I was in.
Anyone want to do a spreadsheet to see who's located near whom? And no, I'm not volunteering. :p

How common are these seals things? It looks like there's a city moving spell you can buy.
Playing as Inferno by the way. I normally always start as a good race but liked their FREEEEDOM description ;)
Just built my first proper building, the Imp Crucible, I like the notion that you can affect the cost of the building by reducing/increasing time needed. Since I'll be asleep/offline by time it finishes on any setting went for the longest/cheapest setting.
Sent you an invite.
Everyone: make liberal use of the battle calculator: http://mmhk.jactari.info/fight
What about my invite? :(
Timbuk2 - 156,5
Invited both of you. I think we're still missing Fuzzball, Illusions, Baltic, and Decoy. :(
Got the invite. Cheers.
Game is looking good.
Except my town's location is right up against the borders of a couple of huge kingdoms owned by other players ... :|
Mine too, I think, but it isn't PvP anyway I think.
Try not to build cities too close to one another (build them 2-5 spaces away). Cities get influence, kind of like in civilization, and you're minimizing the amount of space your cities cover if they're right next to each other. It's not the biggest deal in this world though.
Hmm yep built my 1st 2 touching diagonally. Was all I could afford - the further away you settle the more expensive it is.
Will build 3rd further away ...
As the dominion of your city increases (from troops and buildings), its influence goes up. The price of a new city depends on how far it is from the last point of influence of your closest city. That means it's cheaper to build cities slightly far away as your influence expands.
How far away from your zone of influence is ideal? Currently can control (and build buildings in) 2-square radius of the city. How far does that ultimately expand to?
Still not reached being able to get second city yet. Frustrating not knowing what to aim for to get it as an option. EDIT: Ah, figured it out - the next rank threshold is visible the rankings screen. To get rank 1 need 30,600 domination, 224,000 wealth or 12,750 honor etc - no idea how much for rank 2. Seems a long way to go then, although closest to level 1 for honor (been trying to scrape through all battles, lost a couple by under-estimating the enemy).
Download the resources finder and fight calculator scripts from here: http://www.hommk.net/indexscript.php (make sure you have greasemonkey script installed if you're using Firefox).
You just type in what resources you want in a town, and it will tell you the closest spots to get it. Ideally, you want something at least 2 spaces away. It might get really pricey if you move beyond 4 spaces. Don't pay more than 26k to get your second city.
Best second city to get would have 2 gold mines, and any resources other than 2 rares you don't need (Academy doesn't need mercury and crystal, Haven doesn't need sulfur and mercury, Inferno doesn't need crystals and gems, Necropolis doesn't need sulfur and gems, and Sylvan doesn't need crystal and sulfur). Preferably it would have which ever one of ore/wood that you use more.
