I jumped back in to grab a couple screenshots of my base. Don't expect much, I kept changing my mind about how I was going to do things, and wandered off near the start of the last iteration, so it's all kinda a mess.

O wow, you weren't kidding about the mega part of the base. That space elevator looks tiny.
What's that refinery doing over there? :)

The one in the air? Just chillin. Its scrap from when I was doing a more vertical tower, but I was in the process of refactoring it for a more compact two level build for my refinery complex that I switched to after deciding to hide my logistocs underground. It needs to be scrapped.

Refineries are bulky and you always need a lot of them. The different inputs and outputs make logistics a mess. I have tried several setups.
Carpet bombing method
Eyesore method
Which is in my current playthrough, which means I have to get rid of all of it and rebuild all of it into something I can stomach.
Now I'm trying frames. Mildly satisfied. At least better than the eyesore. And the blue pillars can be used to hide pipes and belts.

Your structures are definitely a lot more aesthetically pleasing than mine.

To be fair, you got a lot more area to spruce up, and you have to got to make it functional as well. You bit of quite a large chunk there :)

If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing.
