There's the Blazkowitz computer game about it, but GENERALLY SPEAKING, Venus had it and lost it. We, as in Earth, have a magnetic field keeping us from losing our outer atmosphere, and I think it's the consensus of the scientific community that we need that dynamo underneath Earth.
