Well, I was kinda disappointed when this thread wasn't about opiates or illicit drugs or Afghanistan.....but then I scrolled through the pictures. :(

Hazir, there are certain cultural things that don't/won't make sense to visitors or outsiders, especially when it comes to War-related rituals. Don't mess with it, question it, or try to change it. It comes off as arrogant and disrespectful. When in Rome......

The Trump victory made me revisit this thread and do something I didn't consider necessary or desirable before. I am not retracting my ideas about the issues at hand.

However, I should have realised that making something that in reality means very little to me a point of principle, I acted unnecessarily combative. By doing this I gave offense where none was needed.

I apologize for this.
