My job is one that requires a criminal records check in order to get my licence from the government and I can't have any convictions, if I get convicted of almost any crime I will lose my licence. My employees though aren't checked beyond asking about unspent convictions. I have hired people who have declared unspent convictions which didn't seem relevant to the role.

Judging from the video and additional info this is an English man subjecting a black woman to racial abuse. Ryanair did not attack her, and they reported him to the police.
Ryanair allowed this to happen and offered to move the victim rather than kick the offender off the flight. It's not excusable, the company should apologise and the offender should be prosecuted.
