It's all to build confusion, he has been doing it for the past few months. We had 10 faithless electors (those that cast their electoral vote opposite of what the public votes for) in 16, and the way things are going now Trump only needs 1 to force a tie, which would force the election to the House, which would allow him to retain power.
That's why the Whitehouse is already wrapped in "unscalable" fencing. They've been planning to steal this thing from the beginning.
Past few years, possibly a decade.
In 2016, it might have been equally safe to defect from Clinton as it was to defect from Trump, but the aggression Trump has stoked in the past few days among his armed, conspiracy-obsessed, kidnapping-endorsing base might have tilted the odds in his favour.Quote:

One has to wonder how legitimate such a Trump presidency would be. The constitution is flexible but not indestructible.
Really going down to the wire

Take a look at this totally normal not at all ludicrously dysfunctional democracy:

I do believe Lewk has tried some shady map bullshit before, so I thought this land vs people was interesting gif

I wonder if Twitter is going to allow his account once he's no longer the President.
It is likely that Biden will have substantially more than 270 electoral votes when all is said and done.
Months ago I heard an interview from the Secretary of State of Washington, which has had universal mail-in voting for years. She described the challenges involved in scaling mail in voting, especially given verification requirements for ballots wrt e.g. signatures. In Washington, they phased it in over many years and were able to iron out the issues. In 2020, most states are coping with tenfold (or higher) increases in mailed ballots but no concomitant increase in infrastructure or adjustment of the rules to allow for rapid counting and tabulating ballots.
If you're not allowed to even touch the ballots until election day (as in most of the currently slow states), it's not terribly shocking that there are some delays. Also, in many of the states (e.g. NC, NV) they don't even have all of the ballots due to legally allowed delays in delivery of ballots postmarked by election day. Most states take a long time to finish up the final long tail of ballots that have trickled in - provisional ballots that were cast in person, later-delivered absentee ballots, etc. - but in most races it doesn't matter because they aren't very close. When things are decided by just a few thousand votes, though, is when we actually notice the delay in reporting the last few percent.
Could it be more efficient? Undoubtedly. But I suspect that it's not as much of a mess as you make it out to be. And frankly I don't think it has seemed all that chaotic in the actual counting and reporting; rather the chaos is all of the surrounding shenanigans by the GOP.
It's not just counting them. It's counting them with sufficient attention to detail regarding the ballot to satisfy the partisan observers trying to challenge every vote not going their way. And in many cases these votes are the ones which pose difficulties in that regard. The easy ones were done first and gotten out of the way.
That press conference was hilarious(ly sad)
"Finally we can now go and observe the voting process, blah blah blah", you already were observing the voting process you dicks. You're just putting up theatre to convince dumb fucks like Lewk how unfair them libruls are.
That's interesting. :)
Looks like democrats are mayority close to bigger cities in general.
We do have simular patterns here but since you essentialy only have two political sides it becomes so extreme.
And it's still a stall.
Only a 665 lead for Trump in GA now.
Yesterday switching between CNN and FOX while playing Satisfactory, I saw this "breaking news" ... took a screenshot because it just perfectly sums up this election.

Biden leads in GA!
This is fantastic:

Looks like Biden will get GA; now Trump can at best get even.
So either Biden or house will elect... Biden I guess.
You know? I don't particularly like American liberals, I don't think Biden is the right choice for the office of the President. But what really disgusts me is people like you who cheer on the destruction of their own country. This isn't any longer about who is the president. This is about if you are still capable and willing to peacefully live next to what are still called your fellow Americans. If you make society a zero sum game the way you promote you can expect the whole system to break down. Maybe you can reconsider and inject some common decency in the way you interact with them. Because if the roof caves, you're gonna find that the debris will hit you just as easy as any liberal.
Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who actually believes that Richard Nixon was one of the great presidents in the history of the United States.
Just when you think the rabbit hole that is Donald Trump's behaviour can't get any more weird/pathetic, we get this.Quote:
Networks cut Trump speech as some Republicans chastise president over election lies
Donald Trump addressed Americans from the White House on Thursday, illegitimately declaring victory in the presidential election for the second time this week. Several US news networks cut their feeds of the 16 minute speech, and numerous Republicans condemned the many falsehoods proclaimed in it.
MSNBC halted its live stream of the speech just a few minutes in, with host Brian Williams saying: “Here we are again in the unusual position of not only interrupting the president of the United States but correcting the president of the United States."
What the heck are the people around him doing? Is there noone who can step in and say; "sir, you cannot say that" .. ? Are they scared of him?
Edge of the cliff, staring at the abyss, final hour desperation behaviour we are seeing now I suppose. A cornered, pathetic little rat.
In the words that Trump may understand: He is a LOSER! SAD!
PA is now light blue.
