Ah Munchkin.
You would be well within your rights. What we did was wrong. Very wrong.

The manager of the building decided, two weeks ago, to have the heat turned off in the building. It's been just colder than hell in here for two days. I think they may have turned it back on today, because it's not quite as cold as it was earlier!
My groove is messed up because GGT isn't answering my PM! :p
And again! GGT don't wanna talk to me! :(
huh? I replied to your PMs, munchie.....
I am back again!
Sorry...double post...I think I broke a bone in my wrist
1
Third post...sorry! I had to call a friend who lives 8 miles out of town to come take me over to the butcher shop. No one else answers their fucking phones!! Gonna go have an x-ray I can't afford, but oh well!
munchie, have you considered that drinking Black Velvet just makes you fall down and break bones? I mean, seeing as this is like the umpteenth time it's messed with your groove, beginning with doing a drunk fall and hurting your back....a few years ago?
You keep lamenting that you can't afford x-rays or surgery, but Jesus H Christ, by now you should know why you even need emergency care.
GGT, this time I hit a clock...intentionally! Fucking kept knocking so I killed it! Wrist ain't broke, just sprained badly. And GGT...the BV helps kill the back pain!!!! Until you live with this pain don't try to tell me how to deal with it!
You guys remember the last story about my kidney stones? Well, this time it's the left kidney (instead of the right one like the last four times) which acts up.
I hope the bugger comes out before I have to go to the hospital again.
Damn Lufthansa can't fly on time unless I am late; yesterday left Istanbul 50 minutes late. Which effectively reduced my transfer time in Frankfurt to 30 whole minutes. Which is pretty much impossible to make because Frankfurt is ridiculously spread out, and the flight from Istanbul counts as international whereas the flight to Amsterdam is domestic. That means; passport and security checks between planes. Still I made a mad dash for it. After all the friendly lady on my flight from Istanbul told me that pretty much all flights were delayed so I might still make it. Well, not so, because despite pretty much every plane being late yesterday, flight 4688 to Amsterdam pushed back from the gate exactly on time.
Extra annoying was that I lost minutes looking for the departure gate on several screens, because Lufthansa decided it should pull my (original) flight from the announcements. I decided to go to the original gate all the same (which was actually where it left from). Of course there was nobody any longer at the gate, so I simply decided to harass the nearest Lufthansa worker (at the next gate) for a boarding card for my new flight and a solution for the night. I did get my boarding card for a flight at 7:50 the next morning (which would have enabled me to make it to the office around 9). I also got a voucher for a room and a meal at the airport Sheraton. I then strolled to the hotel (took me well over half an hour to get there), picked up a German simcard (are German prepaid simcards ridiculously expensive or did I get fleeced? I paid €30 for a card that only gave me €10 in calling credit), then of course found out that my phone was out of power with the cable being where I couldn't get at it.
The meal at the hotel was nice enough, though served in a less than glorious backroom, where I and all my fellow Lufthansa victims got the choice out of one option, which was, thank God, vegetarian (rein vegetarisch). Room also decent and using the help of one of my friends I got one of my numbers rerouted to the hotel room. That meant I could talk with the homefront for free rather than fork out €2,80 a minute to the hotel for the same pleasure.
Later at night I suddenly realised that another phone I had that was broken actually probably would be powered up and that THAT might still be usefull in combination with the bluetooth headseat of my new phone. After charging the headset this actually worked out so I could not only recieve calls, but also make them using my new German simcard Jay !!!
Next thing I find out is that breakfast is served from 7, and with a flight leaving at 7:50 with a distance to the gate I could cover in 30 minutes not having to bother with security checks I don't think it's such a wise idea to wait for that to happen. So, at 10 minutes to 7 I leave the hotel and head for the gate. When I arrive there, I am told that my flight will be delayed at least half an hour so I could have risked that breakfast. But all I have now is free coffee and newspapers. As I have spent enough of my money on FRA (€35 so far) I decide to simply wait for whatever is served on board.
Then a whole circus with 2 gate-changes start, the funny thing is that I get information about those gate changes during a call from Amsterdam earlier than they are announced at the airport. Finally at 8:45 my flight leaves, I am at work at 10.15. During the flight I get a measly cheese sandwich. I'm still at work now, and very hungry.
That's messing with my groove, damn you Lufthansa.
The only recall my Saturn has had issued againist it, and my car suffered from the problem :( Plastic casing around some part of the fuel assembly started to crack. On top of that, the seal on my fuel tank is cracked. So I'm Saturnless for the next few days while these are fixed under a recall warranty combo.
Father's Day.
I'm at work :(
The wind! OMG the fucking wind! It hasn't quit blowing for 2 weeks...not a gentle breeze either. Weather channel said we could have sustained winds of 50 MPH with gusts of 75 to 80 MPH today! The building I live in is well built, so I really don't usually hear it much, but the last 3 days have been nuts!
24 hours until my mathematical methods for physics and classical mechanics exam :(
I am soooo exhausted I can hardly stand it, but when I lay down to sleep, my eyes pop wide open! Insomnia, and getting old, suck!! :(
Being sick really sucks. Its the first day I have without Brent for 3 weeks now, and I'm sick as hell. Running nose, dry scratchy throat, didn't get any sleep last night :(
I'm at work, and I can't leave until lunch time because Brandy is at some sort of VPK thing for the next 3 hours.
I've got a cold, nose is so messed up that even my neti-pot isn't doing the trick.
This avocado tastes suspicious :downcast:
Whatever bug I've had for the past several days is finally passing, causing me to contemplate how much time this week I'm getting paid to sit in the restroom.
but holyshit my body feels like crap. The nonstop coughing has left my entire mid section sore, making it a pain to walk, sit, or bend over when dealing with the books here :(
The pool-water was warmer than bathwater.
The (excellent) diner right around the corner raised its prices. Again :(
