It's official, God hates kitsch.

Librarians are not actors. Supervisor gave me a DVD movie on conducting reference interviews and I'm having a hell of a time watching it because all the actors are librarians, and they are god awful, I can't help but snicker and laugh everytime they converse. :haha: Its very entertaining, but I doubt I'm going to learn anything.
cheeseburger with extra quarter-pounder burger patty + mcfeast-sauce... mmm... McMinxie, aka Freedom Burger :o
Cucumber sandwich.
From a cucumber that was on its cucumber vine about 10 minutes ago.
I have a squash that is nearly ready to pluck, too.
i've got a-- no, no, I won't go there :o
:p
How long does it take to grow cucumber from seeds btw?? It'd be fun :D
I started from baby cucumber plants in May, because I really wasn't planning on doing it. My little sister usually starts seeds in plastic yogurt cups (make sure you put drainage holes in) early in april and then moves them outside when the freeze danger is past.
Does your student flat have a porch or patio that you could put them in in big pots, though?
Nope, not really, but my tiny freckled mistress has a lovely balcony that gets good sun most of the day and I hope to stay on good terms with her :o maybe if I offer her a share of the crop...
The Friend is here!! :D Plus, he asked me, ever so nicely on the phone before he came up, if I would make him my "terrific potato soup" for dinner! It's wonderful to have someone really, really like your cooking! :) He got here about 6, we went and had a drink, then came home to soup. He is in bed now, but we had a nice, relaxing evening dinking around with our computers and just talking! Here pretty soon I am going to take my nightly stroll (helps my back so I can sleep better, for longer) then have another bowl of soup and get some rest. Not sure, but I might get to go on a "mini vacation" with him starting tomorrow. I guess that depends on his mood when he gets up in the morning! :D
Watched Watchmen last night on HD.
Had seen it last summer on a flight from Seattle, but didn't really pay much attention and tiny airline tv screens don't do any movie any justice.
It was really good.
Rorshak (sp) was cool. "I'm not locked in here with you, you are all locked in here with ME!"
And I like the final dilemma:
Spoiler:
The thunderstorm waited to start until after I removed my chicken from the grill.
I booked my tickets for the 2010 International Film Festival hooray!
Now I just have to wait for it to start...
Is it the 9th of July yet?
How about now?
Spawnie has been fucking emPLOYED bitchez!
Had an interview last week, second interview yesterday, including a 20-minute grilling from the director himself who just happened to be in the city that day.
Was bricking it a bit, luckily pressure only makes me more badass and it seems the whole lot of them took a shine to me.
Now i just have to find a place to live in london, join a local sunday league football team, look around for some other "outside interests" to take up while im here so as not to go batshit insane, meet up with HairyArse Tim and his no doubt lovely wife and i will be SORTED.
Outstanding.
Where's the job?
Whereabouts in London you looking? Any ideas?
NOICE, spawnie
The jobs at a company that makes hardware for militaries and security companies. Tracking and vehicle disabling and sattelite stuff.
Dont want to name them in case they search themselves, come here, realise who i am and read all the bullshit ive written here.
My g/f lives in Putney, so anywhere around here would be niceish. She pays truckloads in rent though, and i would hope to be paying at least a little less. From a preliminaryglance on the internet, it seems you can get a pretty nice place for ~100p/w
That sound about right?
Ahaha
You're such an abysmal abortion of a human being
:D Great going
Congrats Spawnie!
FYI - Any London meets should be weekend only and i want an invite.
Nice Spawnie, nice.
So will we be seeing you with Kirsty AllStop on telly anytime soon?
Heh - by 'where's the job' I meant location-wise - wouldn't expect you to name them here.
Putney - v v v nice - but also fairly expensive. Pretty close to me - I'm a bit further SW around Raynes Park.
You've got the Half-Moon pub in Putney - famous spot for gigs - mostly rock.
£100 p/w is the minimum you'll pay for a room in a flatshare - which I guess is what you're after.
If you want a rental on your own you'll be after a studio, and it'll need to be somewhere cheaper than Putney ... Hammersmith for example, or south of the river in Wandsworth, but prices there are well on the up.
Spawnie have you considered the ethical problems??!?!
Congrats anyway :D
what the hell is this about Tim being MARRIED??!?!
Ethical problems?
Er. And no I'm not married. Spawnie dreamt it up.
That is unless Spawnie knows something you don't Tim. ;)
I bought Okami today.
I haven't played it yet, but it should be really good.
Got my car back sooner than expected :D:up:
My boy is making coupons.
I can apparently trade them in for anything I want.
I assume from him, since I am pretty sure Best Buy won't give me a big-screen teevee for a small square of copy paper with a J on it.
im wrecked
im actually quite happay about this fact
