Is that possible? Ignore is nice, but if someone replies to them, how do you hide that quote and following reply?

I wasn't thinking of trying that. That one sounds a bit like work. Just wanted to completely remove the notices that the person has posted.
Did Wraith post something here?

Too small now? Still too big?
edit:
Further shrinkage:

Also, earthjoker isn't really on my ignore list. He just had the easiest-to-test post that I saw on the test forum.
<lolli> further shrinkage
<lolli> i want shrinkage to the point of being dunked in ice water when it is below freezing outside
I can get it all down to a single line.

I might be missing something, but where is the list of smilies?
Check your settings to make sure you're in WYSIWYG editting mode. In advanced, they should be on the right of your post.
Thanks. :)
The "go to first new post" button is being wonky and taking me to posts that are not new.
I just tested it out on a few threads, and it seems to be working alright for me. Which browser are you using, and have you done anything odd with your sessions? Like changing computers or logging out & back in? Is this a consistent repro for you?
I use Firefox 3, and it's just started happening today. It does not happen consistently. I've been taken to the correct post, to the first post in the thread, to the top of the last page in the thread, and to posts in the middle of the last page. I don't THINK I've been doing anything odd in my sessions.
I'll look into it and try to see if I can get a repro. One last question: do you use the back button or backspace to get out of a thread you've finished reading, or one of the links on the page?
edit: I think I may have a repro. It happened when I closed my browser after a session and opened it again shortly afterwards. It looks like it lost the informaton about what I viewed wasn't stored. Could this be the same thing?
I have seen it happen in threads with pictures. But this also may be caused by me not having the patience for all the pictures too load.
I will do that at times, but not since I noticed the problem, I'm aware that issues can crop up when posts have been made in the intervening period.
No, that's a long-standing issue with VBulletin I already knew about, this is happening to me even when I make my first visit of the day.Quote:

I think I've been able to replicate it. It happens when the first new post is by someone who is being ignored.
I got tired of all the spambots signing up, so I changed the Captcha to a question/answer type human verification. Let's see if that slows them down.
That makes sense. I'll look into it. Thanks.
That's accurate. Unfortunately for the pictures version of this problem, the cure would be worse than the disease, so I don't think that'll ever be fixed.
What exactly do the spam bots get from signing up and then not posting?
There are many copies. And they have a plan
Some of them even take our shape, like Alpha and Being.
:D
Well played
(Wraith said the bots put the websites they're advertizing into their profiles but don't post)
But if they don't post, no one will see their profile...They seem as bright as the '70s Cylons. :o
I was going to say, I hadn't seen a single spam thread yet. Quite a relief following Atari.
Can we get a "who quoted me" feature or is that too hard to implement?
Illusions says we can't change our thread titles. What gives?
Yes, the change title option in the edit post > advanced menus only changes the title as it appears above the first post, not the link to the thread or the title in the tab/browser window.
Also, any changes made in the test forum can be migrated over to here if you feel that they're done. :noob:
Default forum skin. Seems to be a buglet.
Everytime a post starts off with a quote, there is a huge gap at the top of the post before the quote starts ...
IE7 at work
and
Chrome latest version (whatever that is) at home
Both have the problem on default skin (white + light blue)
EDIT: If it helps things were fine on both IE7 and Chrome a couple of days back, so it was something that was changed in the last few days that did this ...
I am using the default style. Why does quick reply have some style icons (bold, italics, etc) and advanced has none? This is with FF 3.6, which is the latest FF.
I can see it in IE8 compat mode. It looks like an issue that was introduced in the last patch. I haven't had too much free time to look for a fix yet, but I'll try to have something done today.
