In the past, I mostly looked at DS games and PC games that cost around $40 in the US (i.e. not the top-selling games). The price would generally be the same in dollars and pounds (i.e. a $25 game would cost 25 pounds).

Took me 89 hours, but I finally finished Plants vs Zombies GOTY and all its achievements. :D
Amazon has Dungeon Siege 3 for $5 tonight. Heard its a pretty good game if you have a controller.

I'm not sure what's funnier: the bug, or how the guy whaled on the bear :D
GOG is giving away Empire Earth for free for the next couple of days, you only need to get the website to load.

The Eve example in the first link is small fry. Shit like that goes down all the damn time in that crazy game if the stories are true.
Edit:
and of course EVE is as the top of the next link :haha:
The VGA nominations and winners were surprisingly decent this year..
Defence Grid
Hopelessly addictive tower defence game.
I've been playing Myth Defence on my android phone for months now, which is absolutely superb. I figured if a tower defence game is good on a phone, it's gotta be better on the ol' PC. And it is.
Myth Defence does not like Ice Cream Sandwich :(
Yep I got the game yesterday with the Portal DLC in a bundle from Steam.
Just Cause 2 is on Amazon for $2.50 its a pretty nice sandbox type world with plenty of mods out there floating around.
^ Very fun game, spent a lot of hours with that one..
Aint playing it yet, but we picked up Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure for The Boy as a Christmas gift...I'll let you know how it plays!
Brent wont shutup about the damn things. Those interactive portal things in EVERY FUCKING STORE were a stroke of marketing genius.
Saw that today, genius :D
2011 Club Nintendo Rewards are starting to arrive!
http://imgur.com/a/nU9iX
Hope they hold up a little better than last years.
Nintendo released the last batch of free games for early 3DS owners a day or so ago.
Steam's Holiday sale also started today, same achievement/contest design as the summer sales. Store is pretty much broken at the moment.
I finished LIMBO today. I killed my little boy so many times. ;_;
If anyone is taking part in the Steam Holiday achievements, say something. I've got some coupons that are useless to me that I wouldn't mind trading away. No free games yet, but I'm already at 7 coal.
Anyone played Batman Arkham City? I liked Asylum, so I'm thinking Christmas present to self here.
Haven't played it yet, but everything I've heard says it's really good. It's supposed to be a bit more open than Asylum was, and reactions are mixed as to whether that's an improvement or not. It's getting pretty universal praise as a good game, it's only whether or not it's better than Asylum that's getting debated.
Well, Mr. Punctuation's got a different take on it, and I've yet to have any major differences of opinion with him (at least on games I've played).

ZP MO is to focus on the bad of the game (see his review on Asylum). He can absolutely blast a game and still think it's pretty good. He was really positive on Skyrim though, which surprised me.
If it's contesting Asylum as a good game, it must have something going for it.
edit: Talking about Skyrim, still loving the dungeon crawling. :)
It's fantastic Ziggy, get it.
My second favorite game this year, behind Skyrim..
Read a book by ZP - Mogworld, was quite an amusing book.
God damnit these steam deals are getting hard on my wallet.
Feed the Newell, boys, we want that episode 3 some day, don't we?
Its rumored that a 3 something will be landing at CES this year. Or sometime after the 2nd.
Got Steam earlier this year simply because I bought a load of Total War games that all required Steam. Feeling a lot more open now to the idea of buying Steam games.
Been tempted by a load of Steam deals at the moment, amazed that some games that I bought earlier this year new for like £40 are now available for about £5. However got a policy that I won't buy games in December so I can't buy them now as I don't know what I'll get for Christmas. Do they normally have a Sale in January? Normally Sales start after Christmas.
Can't stand the controls in Skyrim (PC). :(
What's wrong with the controls? They're fine. The UI menus are too obviously designed for a console, though. There's a mod out that fixes that...
You get daily deals, not to much to write home about, and weekend deals, which are pretty good. I doubt we will see any sales in Jan, most of the coupons being given away during this sale are only good Jan - March.
I suspect Valve will do another sale push before they release a new game (as they did with Portal 2), and they have a summer sale that mimics the winter sale.
