Huntman was out of the race before Iowa voted. Had I lived in Iowa or New Hampshire I'd have voted Romney despite favoring Huntsman.

What's so special about a former conservative governor of Utah? You realize the whole "civility" thing was a gimmick, right? He hired McCain's 2000 campaign team and was re-running his "maverick" campaign.
Seems to be concentrating on conservative issues and not religious ones. Seems right up my boat.
How's that different from Romney? He's being attacked for focusing on economic issues to the exclusion of social ones...
Which is why I'd vote for him.
Poor Perry gave Leroy the nod all for nothing :(
Now the GOP will be tested for their true "principles" vs "politics". Will they pick the most right-leaning social conservative with "Christian Family Values"---or the one they think can beat Obama in a general election?
Its worse than that, that's an average that includes earlier polls where Romney was on top. Some recent polls aren't even putting it close. UK source sorry but names US one: http://www7.politicalbetting.com/ind...ll-collapsing/

Seriously? Newt Fucking Gingrich?
His first name is a type of reptile and his surname sounds like a cross between some kind of skin infection and "the grinch".

Newt motherfucking gingrich
Makes me want to draw my head into a shell for the next 4 years. Newt motherfucking-I-Can't-Keep-A-Wife Gingrich. :(
Getting divorced is nothing to be criticised for.
Leaving your wife suffering from cancer for your mistress while impeaching a President for infidelity is.
He left another wife because she got multiple sclerosis. For all their talk of emphasizing morality, it seems that Christian fundies just want someone who says nasty things about Obama. If they were really concerned about social issues, they'd vote Santorum.
Those campaign ads just write themselves, don't they?

I just don't understand the people who actually believe Gingrich is more electable. :bored:

The last one seems to confirm what we already know. The Republicans would probably win if they were capable of fielding a half-decent candidate.

Looks like the last debate and the unceasing attacks on Gingrich are having some effects on his numbers. Latest poll puts him and Romney at a statistical tie in Florida, down from a ~8% lead.
I was thinking that as well, but given the extent of his momentum, I think that would mean a slowing down of an increase in Gingrich's lead, not a reversal. I notice that Gingrich's numbers nationally haven't fallen, which suggests Romney is going after him in Florida.

This is pretty much a general thread now, right?
Santorum was glitter bombed by Occupy Tampa protestors.
I didn't even know those guys were still around, thought the frost we had a few weeks ago chased them back home. But damn, can't help but laugh, I hope glitter bombs become a thing.
Also got a good chuckle out of Castro's "idiocy and ignorance" remark. Broken clock being right twice a day and whatnot.
I lol'd. No pictures? :(
