I ate baby goat tonight. It was awesome!
Just woke up in the new house :) :D
Went down to Sacramento to get an 8 port router from Fry's, and I had Extreme Pizza tonight for the first time in months. Good to be working again.
Home made sausages
We went out to the farm this weekend and killed, butchered, minced and mixed our own individual flavoured sausages - I went for red win, sage, black pepper, red pepper & salt and added a little feta cheese and a scoop of Vegemite (about 85% red meat* & 15% pork fat).
Best goddam sausages ever! :yum:
*Kangaroo meat
Well, it made me giggle, which isn't exactly "being happy", but still, this thread seems to be the most appropriate of 'em all.

:haha:
Does kangaroo taste like other white meats? I don't think much about killing or eating poultry or birds of fowl. Not sure how I'd think about eating a meat like Kangaroo where the mothers have a baby pocket. I've also never eaten Emperor Penguin meat, where the daddies nestle the eggs for a long time.
I've eaten turtle soup, quite tasty. And venison, a bit too gamey for me. Never once did I think I was eating Franklin (the turtle) or Bambi. I don't think of Wilbur (from Charlotte's Web) when I eat pig. Though I adored the movie Babe.
But eating kangaroo is foreign to me. Just as eating Guinea Pig or Hamster would be weird. Or eating cat or dog. Must be the pet connection, or cuddly stuffed animal thing, huh?

My friend's home from his deployment to Afghanistan :)
Yay...It's about time! No more getting blown out of the room by super-loud commercials you don't want to watch anyway! :D
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100930/...ud_commercialsQuote:
WASHINGTON – Legislation to turn down the volume on those loud TV commercials that send couch potatoes diving for their remote controls looks like it'll soon become law. The Senate unanimously passed a bill late Wednesday to require television stations and cable companies to limit the volume of commercials and keep them at the level of the programs they interrupt.
The House has passed similar legislation. Before it can become law, minor differences between the two versions have to be worked out when Congress returns to Washington after the Nov. 2 election.
Ever since television caught on in the 1950s, the Federal Communication Commission has been getting complaints about blaring commercials. But the FCC concluded in 1984 there was no fair way to write regulations controlling the "apparent loudness" of commercials. So it hasn't been regulating them.
Correcting sound levels is more complicated than using the remote control. The television shows and ads come from a variety of sources, from local businesses to syndicators.
Managing the transition between programs and ads without spoiling the artistic intent of the producers poses technical challenges and may require TV broadcasters to purchase new equipment. To address the issue, an industry organization recently produced guidelines on how to process, measure and transmit audio in a uniform way.
The legislation, sponsored by Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., requires the FCC to adopt those recommendations as regulations within a year and begin enforcing them a year later. Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif., is the driving force behind the legislation in the House.
I lost my mobile last week, some girl took it to the Lost&Found and I got it back now :)
Bookcase number 2 was much easier to assemble than bookcase number 1.
I still have one thing that needs to be put together in the basement, but I don't need it immediately. I'm sure it is perfectly happy where it is until I can convince someone else to do it for me. :)
Spotify premium  I feel like Dreadnaught! Only a thousand times more deserving
I was notified by my mortgage advisor that I have a mortgage in principle, so everything is looking good so far.
Fingers are still crossed!
I got a 100 on my test.
This week is starting off on a great note!
Finally caved and purchased a parking pass for downtown. Luckily work is on the edge of downtown, so I can manage the cheap lot. $19 a month. Not to bad considering my bus pass was $15 after county discount, until you start figuring in gas. I put less than 7000 miles on my car in the last year, so I'm a little out of practice, but when I worked at MOSI I used to get 31MPG with the Saturn. Lets see how long it takes me to reach that again...
