I don't think you or Being can be helped. We are talking about a standard that pretty much everyone else can use common sense to figure out, and that out of the 100+ members we have, less than 4 seem to not understand what should and should not be posted there.

The only way to go down in rank of what should not be posted in D&D from Being's post would be to post an empty thread...because all Being's had was a self-admitted stupid question and a poll...

Shouldn't it simply be reported if you feel you have a problem with the thread. A moderator will then decide whether it's in the right section and move it if it isn't.

I did report it to a moderator, and it looks like others have too. Apparently Minx doesn't feel this is enough, that we as a community should foster Being's growth and ability to post here. Minx also seems to feel that there should be no delineation between the two forums, as it goes against the feeling of an open and laid back community. :bored:

A part of why I started this stupid thread was that there wasn't that much good discussion around. That's changed for the better. Right now the only reason to have a public debate about this shit is that we don't actually have any rules, and for the first time we're in the position, as a community, to make those rules. My fetishism for authoritarian states aside, some level of democratic procedure or at least transparency in moderation seems like a goodness, nyet?

You do have a point that it's rather crass of me to shout at Being directly, I have poor impulse control sometimes!

Once more, for the cheap seats: my problem isn't with the notion that Being's thread may have been more appropriately posted in GC, it's with your dickish approach to the matter! That's not what anyone wants to do with their time here, except for the occasional short-lived troll. When I've posted about four threads like that in Debate and Discussion, rather than General Chat, bumped a few old ones because I was board, cluttered up serious threads with similar inane crap and generally contributed absolutely nothing of value or interest since January and yet still have one of the highest post counts, we'll talk.
