Damn right! :mad::up:
I usually end up walking beside the stone path.

Perhaps both of you should consider amputations to make yourselves normal heights.
Sailorboy is freakishly tall, is Crow as well?
Netflix doesn't have the sixty's Russian adaption of War And Peace.
Mario, maybe Dr. Zhivago would be an okay alternative? It's at least about the Russian Civil War, and it's long.
I'm such an old fogie. Saturday night, drinking decaf coffee with peppermint-mocha Coffee Mate, watching White Christmas with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney.....and Vera-Ellen. She's a lovely dancer, great legs, cute face, decent enough actor. Couldn't remember her name or any other movies at all though, and had to look her up. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0893584/bio Rather sad bio. :(
The Bear gave me her cold! *sniffle sniffle*
White Christmas is on AMC tonight, but I have the DVD. But that would belong in the Happy Thread, since I love that movie.
No, Dr. Zhivago is not an okay alternative for War and Peace. Those other names you mentioned dragged me back right to my childhood.
Damn, me too, again. It's more an inconvenience than that I am really ill but it would be nice if there was a variety of the sniffles that would not take up residence in my nose.
Hmmm I've seen it a 100 years ago or so.
Half of them illegal download sites in Russia, but that's ok then because they don't care about US copyrights either :D
Hehe, If you wanna stay legal, http://www.amazon.com/War-Peace-Lyud...2191466&sr=1-3
If yuo don't, well, I'm not sure what the guidelines are for posting those links here..
Yeah! My poor nose runs almost all the time anyway, but then, when I get a cold, it gets all stuffy and "fat". Plus the little crash I took a while back that broke it, yet again! Blowing is rather painful. Unfortunately, other than Zicam, I can't take any of the over the counter meds due to my other meds! :( Oh well, it will go away in the end, and like I said, it's worth it since I got to spend all afternoon with The Bear! That right there makes up for any inconvenience!
I pulled an all-nighter at my friend's house to study for the chemistry final I finished a little while ago. It's been 25 hours since I woke up. Now I'm stuck on campus for another 9 hours working.
Oh, and I don't think I even did well on the final. Probably a B. On the plus side, that was my last exam of the semester!
It's freezing outside! And Christmas shopping sucks this year. I think I'm just going to buy online to save some cash since so many places offer free shipping. And the stores don't have much that I want or need to get. :(
My firewood delivery hasn't happened yet.
One of my sisters decided a gastric bypass should be the solution for her weight problems. We talked about it last thursday and I told her about my reservations. Yesterday (monday) afternoon they went ahead and what could go wrong went wrong. The bypass operation itself was aborted while it was happening. In the process her stomach, the colon and the duodenum were punctured. The puncture of the stomach was noticed and fixed immediately. The other punctures weren't noticed untill 5 hours after the operation was aborted.
Then she started to get severe pains in her abdomen and the doctors realised something was wrong. They tried to fix the suspected punctures but didn't manage. Then this afternoon she was operated again, this time they incised the abdomen to get a fuller picture of the problem. The punctures were fixed but the damage was already done; the leakage had caused an infection. Her one working kidney seemed to give up and the pH value of her blood dropped so dramatically that her bloodvessels started to leak fluid. By 9 tonight I was in the hospital too (we looked like a bloody brothers & sisters episode) and around 10 the surgeon told that they seriously suspected that parts of her colon were dying off because of lack of oxygen and causing severe blood poisoning. A new operation was scheduled for half an hour later to locate the affected part in order to remove it and get the poisoning under control. After 2 hours we were told that actually all her organs were still functional (including the kidney) and that they were at a loss as to why there was such a severe reaction to such a small infection.
There is a chance they can stabilize her tonight, which would be good, but it's also possible that tonight I'll get a call telling me that she died.
Oh dear..:(
Hope everything works out for the best Hazir.
The situation is stuck at critical but stable. Which is an improvement I suppose over critical and deteriorating.
Wow, Hazir, I am so sorry to hear that. I hope that she will continue to improve.
Final exams are grinding me down. I only have two, but Calculus and Chemistry are pretty darn hard. And between the cigarettes and the coffee, my teeth aren't happy either...
4 people called out sick today.:cry:
Nothing changed, a second opinion led to a change in the anti-biotics used only. If there is a rule in this hospital with regards to visiting and visiting hours we haven't broken yet it must be a pretty obscure one.
The night-shift consists of 14 people, we confiscated a sitting room and some mattresses. It's weird none of the staff questioned us doing that. This doesn't seem the kind of place where this is common.
Wow Hazir! I hope everything is resolved favorably soon! :(
I am affraid not, we've basically resigned to the fact that we're merely here waiting for her death. It would need a real miracle to get her out of this again. I don't know all the medication that's being used to keep her alive but some of them are at double the maximum dosage now, there is 1,5l of liquid seeping into her body tissue per hour for the last few hours, she's swollen to the point that you can't recognize her any longer and her blood pressure is virtually non-existant.
Oh God! Hazir I am so sorry! Please know that you, her, and your family are in my thoughts tonight!
:(
On the fail site I've now received three Es on individual exams. They are all math based subjects, which I clearly despite my parents encouraging words about having a wall you need to break through just once to succeed, offer no talent for at all. At the same time I've started to question the necessity of a grading system, as I currently feel nothing short of mentally retarded. The great grades in any other subject is hardly acting as a relief somehow. :sour:
And much more importantly, sorry to hear about that Hazir. :(
