I seriously have to stop assuming the people at Fry's know their products. This will be the second time I have to go back to exchange this RAM.

Last year my christmas bonus was 50€ and a bottle of wine, this year only 25€ and a glass pitcher meant for water. It's as if they don't want me to drink any more! The pitcher is even made from old recycled wine bottles..
Scarlett stole my Morrowind GotY case and dropped it when she ran off, now my tribunal CD is broken :(
The "Friend" and his current shag are in town tonight! (Yes people give me credit...I did NOT flatten the bitch when I had the chance!) She wants to come get the stuff she left here. First off, do I really want that bitch in MY house...again...and second, I had a condition! She stay the fuck away and let him and I talk with no interference! Somehow, I don't think I gotta get up early and wait for her dead ass! lol
I keep getting delayed hosting a forum up, thanks to the release of vBulletin 4.1. With it, the skin suddenly is not compatible anymore and we have to wait for an update. Yet I would really love that new text editor, as well as the improved / corrected formatting for Chrome and Safari. :|
Co-worker that keep their problems down and suddenly explode on me. I am really open to critique so he could just tell me when the problem come up and not accumulate all the stuff. This might seem like a minor problem, but it isn't. We need to work together and this way the relationship is damaged both personally and professionally.
My mouth is bleeding.
Wee.
Fry 'em indeed :sour:Quote:
I can't rememember the name but there's some BBC documentary where they found a perfect method of execution in which the person breathes in a certain gas mixture and becomes euphoric and doesn't even feel like they're dying, and when they presented it to one of the American guys responsible for designing the current lethal injection system he got angry and said it was a horrible idea because it didn't involve enough suffering.
He didn't even use any euphemisms or try to put a spin on it or anything, he just flat out said it was a bad idea because it didn't cause the victim to suffer enough. It was amazing. Shattered any illusions I had that the people behind these things give any fucks about making it humane.
Best guess? Those guys are better off than the ones getting the "humane" stuff
USA, USA
USA #1?
Fastest Christmas ever. Whoosh. We stayed home and celebrated yesterday (just as well because both kids are sick). Police pulled me over last night after midnight services, because I turned left without being in the left turn lane or using my turn signal, even though there were no other cars around. In fact, it was a ghost town except for the police and a couple of 24 hour gas stations. They charged $2.99 for a box of Kleenex.
Back in Amsterdam, where it's freezing and the house has been cold for long enough to make it real hard to get the inside temperature up to a comfortable temperature.
Luggage lost last week still missing.
How DARE Americans complain about "WASTING" money on healthcare/education/social security/happiness when they've eagerly burned six hundred billion in a year on their goddamned military??? for fuck's sake. it makes me SO MAD  wtf is WRONG with these smartasses??!?!?!
They're right though, they certainly "can't go on like this"
that makes all the outrage and the whining over helping ordinary americans at home all the more despicable
it's snowing. again.
fucked up my Christmas, now it is fucking up my post-Christmas shopping
if I wanted snow I'd move to a frozen wasteland
Snow is the best, there is so much snow here this year it's insane and christmassy to the max  in umeƄ the bikes looked like snow-sheep! i keep hearing jingling bells, it's that good.
the cold now, that's another matter
PS. you can thank RB's kitchen and Lewk's gas-guzzler for your frigid christmas present
Somehow there are two full volumes of my favorite romance manga, "Pastel", which hasn't been translated yet. I suspect the translator has taken his leave, and that horribly enough, none are there to step in for him / her. Don't you just hate it when popularity sometimes stands in the way of quality? Can be seen in the music business too, where being a "pop icon" is more important than musicality. :(
Baby has a stuffy nose, so she won't sleep flat. Which means here I am at 2:30AM, with her in the car seat for some head elevation. I guess I will be camping out in the living room tonight.
And the in-laws will be here sometime this afternoon. They have the worst timing.
In-laws always do... :)
I have a new coworker, born in Djibouti, and thanks to According to Jim's low threshold for humor, I'm having serious trouble taking this guy seriously.
Plus he sounds and looks like the annowing Indians from the MetroPCS commericals (the sweater vest one). So thanks to years of conditioning from horrible tech support calls, I have to fight the urge to rage everytime we chat.
I'm surprised to see how weak my psyche is. Today's story is about two friends of mine, who alongside me practice table tennis twice a week. They are each other's childhood friends, whereas I entered the relationship only last year. During last week's practice, they attended one session each. I managed to accumulate myself some confidence in my own skills, as I did not get any witty remarks and as a result thereof (I wish to believe) played quite well. Yet today they both came, and almost as a collected meter of malevolent, one started bickering quite harshly at my play - rendering me clumsy, predictable and a sure loser. It would've been alright to call it off as that he was being mean and just ignore it, but that task becomes indefinitely harder when they grouped together in their laughs. This practice became my worst one in a long time, and I feel like I broke up my entire technique and turned for the worse in terms of actual level.
I feel quite bad at putting my foot down when whoever insults me, and hence in the aftermath I just wonder what exactly might be the purpose of such intended cruelty. It lights my fire to improve, but table tennis is a two person sport, so practicing by myself is hard.
You might try finding a different partner or two to practice with. Good luck!
Why do people in the medical field (both receptionist and treatment) refuse to listen to anything someone says? :( I called the clinic yesterday to ask the doctor for a recommendation for my horribly dry skin. I told the receptionist I needed to have the doctor call me back, at his convenience. She flat out (rudely) informed me I had to speak to the nurse! I told her there was absolutely nothing that woman could do to help me at all. (Meanwhile, I am trying to convince myself not to puke in this stupid woman's ear, since talking seems to aggravate my "gag-reflex.) About 15 minutes later, this silly nurse calls me instead. After I told her there was NOTHING she could do to help me, she said she would have the doctor call me. About 15 minutes after that, the doctor finally calls and agrees to see what he can to to help me keep from scraping all the skin off my elbows. About 15 minutes later, that stupid nurse calls me again and tells me to come over and pick up a prescription for a cream. She also told me I had to sign a release form so they can get medical records they do NOT need. I told her I was on foot, it's at least a 30 minute walk to the clinic, and that by the time I got there, they would be closed! I also told her to just fax it to the drug store and I would come sign this stupid release today! She had the audacity to argue with me for 10 minutes as to whether they would accept a faxed prescription.
Fast forward to today. While trying my damnest not to puke in the middle of the clinic floor, this silly nurse asked me, "What release form? Who did you talk to about that?" Then, I committed the most cardinal of sins...I questioned just exactly WHY they thought they needed records for something they can't treat! FFS, that just sends out MORE personal information about me, most of which is NOT secure.
For future reference, try Aveeno Baby Eczema Cream...it's a little expensive, but it really worked wonders on mine and hubby's skin.
In-laws are gone, and my sister is flying back home. :( Also, I've been stuck in the house since Sunday because of icy roads. I need to get the hell out of here!
Thanks Cat! I think I have a tube, bottle, and/or jug of almost every dry-skin lotion/ointment I can buy in this town! :( This stuff the doctor gave me seems to be working. At least I am not drawing blood every few minutes from scratching! *whew*
Poor MommyCat! :( Remember, this too shall pass. Maybe your husband or a close friend could come stay with the baby for an hour so you could go get a cup of coffee in relative peace and quiet?
Gah, I can't believe you wrote that rant about doctors and nurses, because you have dry elbows, munchie. Seriously, that messes with my groove.
So sorry! Of course, it is ME who is literally scraping the skin/scales from my butt, legs, elbows, and back! :(
From the tone of your post, I gather you think I am totally in the wrong. Wrong for expecting someone who works for me to actually take their fingers out of their ears and listen. (Yes, we DO pay their wages here, either through office calls or an automatic tax yearly.) I was all set to apologize yesterday...right up until the moment that woman couldn't remember what she told me the day before. Yes, I know she thinks she has a lot to remember, but c'mon folks, she had my chart out when she was talking to me on the phone...all she had to do was put a little reminder to herself in it.
The tone of my post sounds like this: medicine isn't practiced well over the phone. People who expect or demand that their skin be diagnosed over the phone, and expect or demand to talk to a physician, then expect or demand a prescription,, should really get a grip.
:donkey:
