And make sure you visit Vienna. I stopped off there for 8 hours once, and spent 4 hours in the city, the old town is very beautiful :up:
You can also stay in Breuil-Cervinia (Italy) and ski over to Zermatt, so you can pay all the stuff in €. The village on the Italian side is not beautiful but they have nice slopes there too. And you can sky over to the Swiss side, the same way I skied over to Italy.

But the Matterhorn erm pardon Monte Cervino is not really spectacular from the Italian side, that's probably why it is considered a "Swiss" mountain even 1/3 of it belongs to Italy.

Aye stayed in Cervinia twice now, and Zermatt once.
Cos the wop side is so much cheaper, we used to ski over from Zermatt to have a pasta lunch, then ski back to the Swiss side.
Cervinia also has the longest run in Europe; 22km

From the platform of Klein Matterhorn, it's the highest place in Europe that you can reach by cable car.

The cable car up there is really spectacular, having this huge span.
