What the? Murder???
These were supposedly taken in Grayling Michigan which, incidentally, is the location of a park that claims the last stand of old growth trees in the lower Penninsula (Michigan was mowed flat around the turn of the century for lumber to build the Western expansion - sad story, really). In years past I've posted pics from that park, maybe I'll dig them up....

"The pads on ants' feet are self-cleaning and can stick to almost any type of surface," he said.
"No man-made glue or adhesive system can match this. Understanding how animals can control their adhesive systems should help us come up with clever adhesives in the future."
