I'm actually quite happy to see Trump open to pursuing a trade relationship with the UK. Much better than Obama's icy cold shoulder.
Meanwhile, watching my friends freaking out about the inauguration on social media is vaguely...arousing?
Indeed I get that (not the arousal you strange, strange man).
A new Special Relationship on steroids is the cherry on the parfait after my nation rejected Obama's "back of the queue" hysteria.
Yeah, that should be fun, starting talk about a free trade deal right in the middle of congressional elections and while he's about to start up the campaign to stay in the White House. The Brexitanians will also learn a lot from his dealings with NAFTA. I should order some extra popcorn.
Heh it only took a few hours...

"“When he said today ‘America First,’ it was not just the racial — I mean, I shouldn’t say racial, the Hitlerian background to it, but it was the message I kept thinking," Matthews said."
"Hitlerian" Heh but what do you expect from the guy who gets all tingly when he thinks about Obama speaking. I still have reservations about Trump and his seemingly absurd beliefs about trade but watching the liberals jump over themselves to proclaim he is the second coming of Hitler is hilarious. Going to be a fun four years of triggered cry babies.
The snowflakes call anyone right of Karl Marx a fascist, or a racist to the point the terms have begun to lose all meaning.
This time they might be actually right, only time to tell.
So new missile shield, moving back on climate policies and health care, and a "national day of patriotism". I feel like we've finally discovered how to travel back in time.
Lewk you do realise that what you're gloating about is exactly the same of the right calling Obama a marxist right? Which they did non stop for 8 years.
Do you approve of people calling Obama a Marxist?
I can't recall anyone here doing so let alone non stop for 8 years. I can recall people here calling Trump a fascist.
Churchill is back in the Oval Office

Probably because Trump doesn't have an ancestral Kenyan dislike of white supremacists. Hopefully it's still being balanced by the MLK bust.
So, who else is getting the idea that Trump may turn out to be a socialist experiment once his first turn is over.
Him being Trump? He seems very much big government kind of politician.
Fascism is socialism combined with nationalism after all.
Those are your words not mine.
I don't know if I would go as far as carting out the charge of fascism yet, but his rhetoric sounds very much that he thinks government should be involved in how businesses make decisions. And then there's the big projects side....
What part of that was so-called alt-right?
Though you're refusing to state anything other than maybe disagreeing with the left and theists (which I've done consistently on the forum since it was founded 16 years ago) that is behind a transformation. Pick something and say "this is why I'm saying this".

First day on the job and the press secretary has already jumped off the deep end.
God I wish this administration wasn't deliberately aping Baghdad Bob.
Would be more mature just to ignore the crowds. Who gives a flying fudgecake how many people turn up in a political crowd?
That one's easy: Tens of millions of people around the world.
Trump is a text book narcissist. He claimed before hand that the crowd was going to be record setting. So of course people are going to check if he was right for once. And with how easy it was to compare Obama's crowd to Trump's it made for a quick laugh
The mature thing would be to not lie about it in front of the people who reported it.
More difficult if you want all their names
