He's been complaining on Facebook for days now about feeling sick, while appearing healthy. Today the school called up my mum and said she had to pick him up, took him to a clinic who told them to go to hospital. Turns out one of his testicles has twisted badly and causing him a lot of pain. It could naturally resolve itself, or if left untreated it could result in permanent loss of the testicle. If he has the surgery, they have to cut open his scrotum and there are risks involved with that. My parents opted for the surgery, but the doctor read out the consent form including potential consequences of the surgery in front of him - causing him to get even more upset. Just spoke to him just before he went in for surgery, he was crying while trying to be brave :(
