Scarlett won her debut Sunburst Pageant :D
Didn't know what to expect, or how she would react to the rather large crowd and being on stage, but once she was up there... something clicked and she just knew. Pulled off one of her over the shoulder coy smiles and ended up winning every category we paid for (amazing how that works...) and best overall. So now her entry into state is paid, and since its in Orlando, and its all weekend long, it sounds like a good time for a family trip to Disney.

Arrived safely in Denver, well, Aurora actually. Except for a little snow and ice on Monarch Pass the roads were mostly dry. My oldest daughter and her fiance will be moving at the EOM so we are going to get a house big enough for them to stay with us for awhile so they can save for their future of marital bliss. Both my wife and I like him very much, and are happy that our babies will both be under our roof together again. The only bad part of the trip is that my youngest wasn't feeling well all yesterday, and complained of a sore throat this morning. Beck took her to the E.R., she has strep. :downcast: Poor girl has to leave her friends and gets strep for her trouble.

Of course its Scarlett's choice to, and so far she seems to be having fun. Then again, as long as we feed her and let her nap, she seems happy just about anywhere.

Beautiful day, no classes, passed my exam and with a good margin (was only half a percent off my post-exam guesstimate, which is comforting :)), may have a job lined up for summer (despite confusion as well as possible conflict with a buddy), have enough money to tide me by till I get the metallica tickets offa my hands, lots of greating on the Nook, good meeting coming up, and everything in my home ridiculously cozy now on the last stretch of my residence here... :heart:
Now that that's been said I presume the universe will bitchslap me :downcast:
I have running applications for two jobs. Been to the second meeting this morning and they want to hire me. Now I'm waiting for the result of the application for job #2, which I really want. But now the first one has gone so well, I already know my unemployment days are over and I'm possibly in the luxury position of being able to pick between 2 jobs.
One is a game developer programmer using ActionScript and Unity 3D (the one I really want) but it means a 30 minute commute and probably won't pay as much as the other one. The other one is programming interactive online advertisements, is a bit less creative but pays a couple of hundred Euros more. (The latter one is in the bag already).
Exciting times :)

How's the public transportation there? I actually kinda like my 30 min commute, because I get so much leisure reading done that way. I'm a little worried about the life expectancy of my current phone, when that old geezer kicks the bucket I'll probably get a smart phone and then it'll be Nethack vs. book every damn bus or train ride :(Quote:

New job now I commute 50 mins by train and tube. Good book and the time disappears. For the train part anyways. For the tube part I get to spend the time with my face in a strangers armpit.

3) Mortgage lender sent the documents over today which means i'm ready for the next step - Exchanging the contract. Once that happens the house will finally be ours. The only annoying bit is having to wait till July for the house but it's worth it as we want loads of extras installed so i need more ££££.
