MA tried a Republican's idea and that hasn't worked well either. States didn't have to wait for a federal mandate. We already know how fannie and freddie fucked things up for every tax payer (even tho not everyone owns a home). But everyone IS reliant on our medical system, even the healthy people. Our gov'ment is not always efficient, but that doesn't mean we throw up our hands and resign all things to privatization. After all, our military works fairly well....
