Rise of xenophobia in Switzerland

I am, of course, out of touch with reality most of the time. I am surprised by this because I've always implicitly associated xenophobia with things like disenfranchisement, economic hardship, etc. And I'd somehow expected that xenophobia would rise in European politics primarily on the backs of small, extreme populist parties. Looks like I knew less about both xenophobia and about Switzerland than I thought :o
