Is there a more loathsome individual on this planet than Nunes?
Tillerson's gone.

Its like a game of bettlejuice, but with "russia" instead. He attacked russia over the election meddling and the uk attack. The other players are so paranoid that Sarah Sanders refused to say Russia once when being quizzed over the uk attack.
So Tillerson publicly accuses Putin. Gets fired after this. WH claims the decision was made on Friday and that he was told then. Senior SD aide to Tillerson makes a public statement that disputes this claim (others including a reporter travelling w/ Tillerson makes similar statements) and gets fired. There is nothing normal about this. Can we please re-examine Peter Strzok's texts to see what he's been hiding that might help us make sense of this whole circus? Lewk, can you start a thread about it?
Yeah, figured his days were numbered back in Sept when Putin said he fell in with the wrong crowd :haha:
I'm expecting Bolton any day now. Not sure if this mustache will be able to get the appropriate clearance.

He was texting with Strzok.

Well, at least he admits it I guess.
Trump sees lying as an expression of power, and his base eats this stuff right up.
I think Trump is right to not bother about the truth; it simply doesn't matter to his core support base.
Yeah but what about the rest of us, not to mention world leaders, where being truthful actually matters? :(
I'm not liking this meta-thread much. Instead of discussing each Trump debacle separately, everything is getting glommed into one hot mess. His very disturbing pattern of behavior isn't really reflected in this thread. Reading this is like binging on his reality TV show -- his name is the title, but all we're doing is talking *about* Trump. Which suits him just fine. He craves attention, and uses chaos to overwhelm or distract people, until they eventually stop paying attention to "the real news". :sour:
Sources call BS on Sessions:

Will this be how Sessions finally gets ousted, enabling the firing of Rosenstein and, ultimately, the shutdown of the Mueller investigation?
President Trump & others pressured senior WH staff to sign NDAs that threaten severe financial penalties for failure to abide by their terms:

I would say this is extraordinary, but it's really fucking not these days is it?
Even if the NDAs can't be enforced, these things have an impact.
I hope, probably in vain, that Republicans will find their balls in the end and join with the Democrats to toss this scumbag out of the White House.

Emoluments, Russian collusion, Stormy Daniels, Cambridge Analytica, obstruction of justice, tax evasion.
Someone needs to get a pot going for which shitty thing is going to finally bring this idiot down.

Seriously, these people are fucking scum. So, I guess, er, well suited to lewk's America.
I'm beginning to think this is a verbal tic:

I lost track of how many lies and utterly messed-up things the actual president of the US gave his country in his latest speech. It is truly extraordinary. Y'all done fucked up, and now everyone has come to just accept it as the new normal.

Meanwhile, Cohen's lawyer publicly stated that Trump had no idea about the settlement with the pornstar. That would mean this particular deal is in fact void and there's no merit to the suit against her where they're demanding upwards of 20 mil for violating the NDA. It'd also be blatantly unethical. These people are ridiculous.
After all that buildup, Cohen's lawyers' struggle ultimately proves futile, and the client whose identity they were trying to keep a secret is revealed to be... Sean Hannity. I'm lmao. We've crossed over from soul-killing reality show to a delectable telenovela.
Recall Hannity's interviews w/ Cohen and absurd commentary on the investigation into Cohen. By any reasonable standard of press ethics, he should have disclosed their relationship.
Hey, you get to feel pretty pleased with yourself when so many Very Serious Pundits were and are convinced the bear was somehow going to settle down and become a realtor.
So, the DNC just filed a lawsuit against the Russians, Wikileaks and the Trump Campaign alleging they conspired to damage Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016. Looks interesting. The NYT suggests it threatens various actors in the Trump tent, including the President, with deposition under oath - something they've been trying hard to avoid. Apparently the DNC did the same thing over the Watergate Hotel break-in and actually won a 750K settlement.
