That is a creepy video.
An old bandmate of mine is now an NPR reporter in DC. She's posted some absolutely crazy stories and photos from Wednesday. People are pretty unmoored from reality.

Wait, the internet lied to me?
I'm no better than other people who use Youtube as their source :(
Fair to say risk of bloodshed is rising by the day. Unless the FBI's & other authorities' response is implausibly effective, the inauguration—and the days leading up to it—won't be pleasant.

The worst... the authorities have been notified
Yikes

Third Dem in that room to test positive. Iirc correctly, one of the GOP reps who refused to wear a mask was positive, possibly the one who infected the others. Difficult to say, but mfer should be sued nonetheless—just for fun.

Re. the second one, the congresswoman said, earlier today or yesterday, that she saw GOP legislators guiding some of these groups the day before the attack. Even if unwittingly, they may have assisted the attackers—some of whom clearly had access to detailed information about floor-plans, important locations, lawmakers' offices, etc (judging from eg. some of the video footage).
They are capable of moving that fast:

Isn't the Senate trial the time consuming part normally?
Ten (10) Republicans voted to impeach Trump.
Realistically they couldn't, there isn't time.
Impeachment could happen because its simply political essentially, one article to determine if they want to impeach and send it to the Senate for a trial.
The Senate trial is a full trial. There needs to be a prosecution, a defence essentially - it can't just be whipped through in a day.
Even if the Senate was sitting tomorrow there are only 3 working days left before inauguration, even assuming they work on the 19th which is normally dedicated to preparations for inauguration on the 20th. Wipe out the 19th and you've only got 2 days, tomorrow and Friday.
There realistically isn't the time for the Senate to act.
I disagree. As demonstrated by their first impeachment of him. And as pointed out, even with the House moving with quite unusual speed, it still isn't leaving sufficient time for the Senate to hold their proceedings to decide whether to convict him or not before the inauguration.
I had been led to believe for this impeachment, before or after the inauguration didn't really matter?
