Tories down to third in Westminster polling.
May are you proud of yourself?

The fun is that this 27% would give Corbyn a massive majority. You still feel like defending your 'superior' electoral system Randy?
Probably not actually. It would leave him massively ahead of any other party (as it should given the big lead) but would leave his party in minority territory still.
Though realistically seat projectors won't work with that much change and also realistically I can't see that result happening.
If the Tories don't remove May now then 19% is more than they deserve.
If they replace May, it will just expose the lie of there being an alternative. Johnson will not get anything more out of the EU than May unless he is willing to do a lot of concessions.
Or willing to walk away empty handed. Which May was not.
Because only a full blown idiot would walk away without a deal. Any deal means that the EU has given something in return for what it expects from the UK. Without a deal the same price will be exacted for merely talking with you.
I mean, there was a point around March where it looked no deal was going to happen by default, and the EU made their peace with that and did not offer additional compromises to help May get the deal through parliament, so what makes you, Randblade, think their approach will suddenly be different if it were part of the UK negotiating position?
It's just the same 'we hold all the cards!'/'german car manufacturers!' bollocks you were trying it on with before the referendum and its just not true.
In the event of a No Deal Brexit, the function of the next Tory leader won't be to get a deal with the EU; it will be exclusively to make the idiot constituency feel good about itself by stoking their puffed up resentment to the point where it drowns out the shame and the fear.
Because the EU knew May wouldn't speak loud enough. That's why you need a new leader, one the EU knows will not only speak loudly but also slam his meaty fist on the table, thus showing both the EU as well as the traitors in Parliament what's what and no two ways about it.
May cannot rule out a No Deal Brexit. Brexit will occur through the automatic operation of EU law; NDB is the default if the UK and the UK (and the UK & EU :o) don't agree to a withdrawal agreement. Absent a negotiated agreement, the only way May can rule out a NDB is by withdrawing the A50 notification and thus cancelling Brexit (under EU law). If Parliament can't agree on on a course of action that's acceptable to the EU, and if May/the UK doesn't revoke the A50 notification, NDB will occur.
She can and did rule it out by saying she would extend rather than exit.
You mean : by staying in the EU.
Precisely. Every EU leader knew that Remainer May would sooner stay in the EU than leave without her precious deal. So there was no reason to make any changes because they were not concerned about no deal happening by default, regardless of whatever nonsense Steely is peddling.
The extension was granted not because of May but because of parliament. There is a limit to how long brexit can be delayed without a revocation of the a50 notification.
May proposed an extension before Parliament voted for it. Either way all leaders knew there was no chance May was prepared to walk away and thus there was not a scenario of no deal happening by default as claimed.
Because walking away comes with the same price tag as the withdrawal agreement. It's just plain stupid to walk away if you can get better.
No deal, no backstop.
Talks which will start maybe after you pay €39bn.
So May is out.
Great, another delay to actually dealing with the problem. How long will it take to choose another cretin?
Good riddance. And your dreadful deal with her.
Contest begins in earnest 10 June. Will take approximately 2 weeks for MPs to whittle down to 2 candidates. Membership vote then should take about a month. So roughly 24 July to elect a new PM.
With the way you guys are botching things, say hello to BoJo.
I think anyone who actually wants the job at this point is by definition too stupid to be allowed to do it.
