Actually, they could have had any color they wanted as members of the EU. Not all EU countries switched to burgundy. And all that did, did so voluntarily.
Seems like De Pfeffel is slowly starting to understand that ending freedom of movement wasn't such a brilliant plan; today he gave the go-ahead for easing of requirements for truck drivers. Too bad for him that most EU drivers thtat left have no interest in returning to a country that if hostile to immigration, has worse working conditions and lower pay.

The UK has negotiated a trade deal with New Zealand. Seems like the most positive prediction on its impact on the British economy is that it will add nothing at all. That’s when things go well :D
