    Yes, really

    Thanks Gee ... !

My other half booked and planned a great weekend away for me.

She arranged an apartment down in Brighton for the weekend (Brighton is the party capital of England - and the gay capital) for us and two of our friends.

We got up early on the saturday morning and got dressed up in vintage gear for Goodwood revival (world's largest vintage car race & display event which we went to last year). I'd rented a genuine 1940s RAF Officer's uniform.

A chauffeur-driven classic Daimler collected us and drove us to Goodwood.

    ... 'scuse the crap compact-camera pics ...

We had an ace day, then back to Brighton for food and party in town on the saturday night.

    The best birthday I've had.

    Now to be 40.

Sweeet -- you look dashing in that uniform Tim! (Love the stoles and purses too.) Glad you had a good one!

Heh, I'd never heard of a stole until this weekend.

My other half's great-grandfather was a furrier in Argyll, so those furs were made by him many decades ago. My other half's mother has kept them.

Aw, too bad the women didn't go all out, wearing nylons (with seams down the back, held up by garters ) and shoes from that era. Same for your footwear too, Tim.
