Default Awful Arizona Sheriff Hosts "Mugshot of the Day"

Not sure if this is old news, but I'm seeing it popping up just now...

That would not fly over here, privacy laws and everything. They don't even release pictures of suspects they want to arrest, unless there are risks that he might be dangerous and/or on the run.
Keep on keepin' the beat alive!

Mugshots over here are public record. My county has a similar system. Which uses the information the sheriff department provides.

I find it a bit weird, but they do it here, too.

Wouldn't want that innocent until proven guilty thing to apply or anything.
We're stuck in a bloody snowglobe.

This is the only problem I have with it, there are processes to get these records cleared, but its one of those "to little, to late" type things.
On the other hand, I'm helping people in the library, on an almost daily basis, help find their friends and roll mates in these systems because they haven't seen them for a few days.

That's a good point. I guess the flip side is what if someone doesn't want their friends to know they're in jail? Though I guess if their friends are proactively checking for them in mugshots, it's probably not their first arrest.
