Do not forget these must have addons.
Be advised that politics/religious/economic debates at the Orbiter forums are as impopular as they are at Atari forums.

EA just released C&C Tiberan Sun for free, the older C&C games were already free.

Steam has a few free games as well, like Track Mania, HL2 Deathmatch for Nvidia or ATi users, Portal First Slice, America's Army, etc..

If I was at Atari forums, allowed to talk about politics and religion, I wouldn't be talking about freeware games. I'd be talking about politics and religion.

Indeed I should say thank you to termite.
Your comment had shaken my mind.
    What if you are right?

What if I become ignored for thinking outside the box, about a world with no politics, religion, economics or advertising?
I'd have a chance to imagine such a world on my own, without interference.
Instead of seeing it as a problem, I saw your comment like something that made me to rethink our ways.
