Thread: Winter Sales

    Default Winter Sales

Sales generally should be starting soon, so why not a thread?

GOG, once the site comes back up correctly, is giving away Fallout 1,2 and Tatics for free.

GOG seems to be working better now. Trine 2 for $3.99 seems like a nice deal. The present idea is really hit and miss, but you never know...

Amazon is doing a Bethesda deal week. Doom BFG for $5, and discounts on Elder Scroll titles and DLC

So same discount as last time (though likely more flash sales). Shame, nothing tempting last time.

Preview of XBox deals that start tomorrow. Microsoft isn't that great about sales, but sometimes there is a classic quarter eater that goes for cheap. Honestly surprised to see them leading with Borderlands 2 considering PS+ members can currently get it for free. Then again Microsoft's "Games with Gold" is fast becoming a joke.

Tomb Raider for $5 is tempting.

The steam sale is live. I really hope Valve keeps to this trading card idea. I've been dropping pennies on underlisted items for the 6 months, and used those to craft the winter badges/globes.

I'm about $20 ahead. Even managed to sell a foil for $5.

I'll wait to see what the rewards are, and maybe I'll repurchase the winter rewards after people stop acting so stupid and the prices hit about a dime a card or so.

Toki Tori 2+ is a flash sale right now. But its cheaper to get it in the bundle. you get 4 games for less than Toki Tori 2+ alone. And for once the games are giftable if you already own a copy.

Toki Tori 2+ is pretty good mind game, I remember spending a good bit of time on its puzzles in the first one when doing one of Steam's previous events.

Left for Dead 2 is currently free on Steam. You simply need to "get it"

Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

Is Steam up yet? Damn thing has been down or unusable for about 7 hours.

The website appears to be. Nothing I want to buy, though, so didn't log in.
We're stuck in a bloody snowglobe.
