So there's a Syria thread but I'm thinking that this sub-topic may warrant its own thread.

These past few weeks have seen increasing hostility and seeming stupidity on the part of both the US and Russia.

How do you believe this will play out over the course of the next few months?

Will it go beyond a war of words, broken/suspended agreements and "accidents"?

Will the two countries resume the disposal of plutonium in accordance with their previous agreement?

Will any of Russia's demands be met?

If not, will this escalate further? What will be the next agreement to fall?
